The story of Shevie Exports began in 1992, started by the mother-son team of Sheila and Vivek Bulchandani.

Sheila brought her creative expertise to the business as she was formerly producing Indian bridal wear and trousseaus for the local market.

Vivek added his sharp business acumen and eye for fashion and art.

Together, they worked tirelessly to over-deliver on quality within budget and to strict time lines. The hard work and effort paid off, and soon Shevie was exporting embroideries for couture and pret collections to the leading fashion houses of Paris, New York and Milan.

Today, 16 years later, Shevie Exports employs over 600 people. Most of them craftsmen, who have been trained to deliver to the exacting standards of our international clients. In fact, we're considered a reliable outsourced partner for European labels, as well.

Shevie’s in-house studio team specialises in creating design swatches to the exact specs defined by our clients. The design brief and the vision behind it is translated by the design team, into fine hand-embroidery. The client’s task of swatch selection for their collections is also made easier when the swatches are thus completed.

We even create proprietary designs based on research of fashion trends, embroidery material and fabrics. The completed swatches are then made available to design houses for selection.

Our greatest ability lies in understanding the designer’s vision for a fabric and translating this accurately into world-class hand embroidery.
